A common stumbling block in improving our physique is the weekend. It often occurs that during the week we follow healthy habits as we go about our daily routine of work and training only to lose it as soon as the weekend arrives. We get to wind down, relax and hang out with friends and family; people who may not always share our goals.
My advice in tackling this major hurdle is keeping the following 2 things in mind:
1. It takes doing something different to create change. If you want to maximise your potential you need to be willing to sacrifice something current in order to gain something in the future. In practical terms this could be a cheat meal instead of a cheat day, a drink instead of 4.
2. Don’t be okay with being someone else’s version of good enough. You are in control of what you eat or drink, not your social group. Nobody has the right to sabotage your progress.
So let’s pull our socks up, starting from this weekend.
To fitness with love,
Andrew
Great advice Andrew!
