Just over a year ago, I interviewed my friend and boxing trainer, Andy Dumas and shared the interview on this website. In his interview, Andy revealed that he was working on a boxing program that would make the amazing workout that a boxer goes through more accessible to the masses.
I have been very eager to see him launch this program as I know firsthand how boxing can take your fitness routine to the next level and boxing is anything but routine! While in many programs it’s easy to plateau, I can honestly say that’s not the case with boxing. I’m challenged each and every time I train. And you don’t have to have aspirations of stepping into a ring and fighting – I certainly don’t. If you enjoy a fast paced, high intensity workout that is constantly changing, challenging and fun – then boxing is for you. Plus let’s be honest, you can learn to throw a jab and right cross like nobody’s business!
Well I’m thrilled to say that Andy has just recently launched his boxing program – The Ultimate Boxing Workout! I asked Andy if he would take some time to share a bit about his program with our Mirror Friendly followers.

Tanya: Andy, I’m so happy to learn that the program that was just in the early stages of development in April of last year has now come to fruition. Can you tell me a bit about The Ultimate Boxing Workout program?
Andy: The Ultimate Boxing Workout stays true to the origins and the spirit of boxing and provides and exhilarating and authentic boxing workout. Participants will experience the challenging physical training of a boxer and get in the best physical condition of their life.
The website contains instructions, descriptions, photographs, and videos of the basic boxing stance, punches and combinations, shadowboxing, jump rope, and heavy bag training. The UBW teaches participants the foundation of boxing training, body awareness, and proper execution of movements for a challenging and safe exercise program.
Tanya: What would someone get when they sign up to be a member?
Andy: Membership to the UBW website gives access to Coaches Corner and the Dashboard, which features hundreds of videos and real-time workout drills. Members will be able to tap into new and exciting workout routines and receive elite tips and exclusive videos from boxing experts right in the comfort of your own home or wherever you choose to train. The UBW cross-training workout takes beginners and seasoned athletes to the next round of superb conditioning.
Tanya: Wow that’s awesome. I love that you have videos from actual boxing experts too. You mentioned back in April a desire to get your program into gyms. Can you tell me a bit more about that?
Andy: For now, the Ultimate Boxing Workout is an ‘On-line’ experience. My goal is to license live UBW classes at gyms all over the world!
